Lo que ha hecho diferente a Ake Studio desde el principio es que nunca lo he visto solamente como un taller de cerámica. Siempre ha sido mi lugar feliz, un espacio que he construido con mucho cariño y al que me gusta que las personas sientan que también pertenecen.

Tenemos brasas, una barra de fríos con nigiris y tartares, carnes maduradas, pescado y una cocina más delicada, pero todo tenía que tener sentido dentro de una misma filosofía. Al final entendimos que el hilo conductor no eran los platos, sino la manera de tratar el producto.

The gallery grew from a desire to build a programme led by ideas rather than market demands. I wanted to create exhibitions that were intellectually rigorous while remaining emotionally engaging, with each exhibition responding closely to its architecture and context.

Me he dado cuenta de que, desde hace años, la fotografía para mí es una práctica continua, donde no reconozco inicios o finales, sino un espacio flexible en el que se van acumulando imágenes. Creo que por eso mi relación con el concepto de archivo es importante.

Green Tea Blue Sky Shop
After six months of hands-on renovation, we refreshed the space while preserving its old charm. The front is now a cozy tea house and a venue for tastings and culinary events, while the back accommodates a ceramics atelier. Our project brings together tea culture, ceramics, art, and discovery.

He tenido la oportunidad de conocer en persona a los artesanos que hacen piezas muy únicas, en sus espacios creativos. Acercarme a ellos y a sus familias, y buscar la manera de traducir mis ideas en objetos que siguen representando sus técnicas ancestrales e incluso milenarias.

Before we arrived, the space operated as a rentable co-working office. Since then, we have transformed it into an urban living room, a popular meeting point for the local design community. We organize exhibitions, magazine launches, collection debuts, fairs, and workshops.

If the wind lingers
By deliberately abandoning sharp focus, I aim to mirror the fluidity of time, using motion and the unseen wind as a brush to paint with light, shadow, texture, and atmosphere. The scenes transform into something closer to a lingering memory than a physical reality.
