Entre la luz y el vértigo

A shift in rhythm
I’m interested in the space between who we think we have to be and who we already are. This thought keeps returning in different ways while I work. In a way, I look into the work and beyond it, in its spatial presence, but also as a way of reflecting.

Life is bigger than architecture
What has had the greatest impact in recent months and weeks has been the accidents and coincidences of everyday life in the city, like finding a book I didn’t know I was looking for or discovering random places that are becoming my favorite spots.

Paint fiction
Too much planning doesn’t pay off. I have sketchbooks stacked to the ceiling, full of ideas, but the second I stand in front of a canvas, all of that seems to dissolve. I paint from instinct, and the planning becomes a very vague guide.

Pobre de ti
Hay cosas que solamente se comprenden al volver. Elevarse no siempre es sinónimo de libertad. Las alturas cobran sentido cuando se mantiene la humildad de mirar de nuevo hacia la tierra. En este pensamiento constante apareció “pobre de ti”. No sé si envuelto en compasión, en advertencia o incluso reproche.

Sincronía
Si no estás sincronizada con el flow —con la gente saliendo del metro o la luz verde en un cruce— puedes marearte. Necesitas cierta inconsciencia para avanzar. Basta que uno pierda el compás para recordar lo cerca que siempre estuvo el desastre.

Mi casa rosa
Mi casa, ¿cuál casa? ¿Qué casa? ¿Mi casa quién? ¿Mi casa dónde? Todavía no entendía por qué corría tan desenfrenada y sin gritar. ¿Mi casa quién? ¿Mi casa dónde? A vos te costaba la poesía y a mí me costaba el poema. Yo solo quería saber ¿dónde estaba mi casa?
