What pieces or projects have you been working on lately?
He estado documentando muchas historias en el norte de México, últimamente  he estado en la Sierra Alta de Sonora, principalmente en el norte del estado, a cuarenta minutos de Arizona. Entre varios temas y narrativas me he enfocado en retratar la cotidianeidad del lugar, la conexión humano-campo, estructuras sociales, entre otras cosas.

What did you learn (or unlearn) while working on them?
Cada viaje aprendo algo nuevo, desde una receta de cocina, hasta temas más complejos. Por decir alguna, ahora sé sobre el deporte del rodeo, que comparte cosas con la charreada, pero definitivamente es como se acostumbra en el norte de México y el sur del gabacho.

What words, ideas or emotions were going through your head?
ALV qué calorón! Cincuenta grados centígrados en el monte está complicado, pero la raza ahí anda, entre el sol, y la sombra que pueda dar un mezquite.

Were there any conversations, movies, music, or books that made their way into that work?
Varias conversaciones acompañadas de un bote bien frío, por las noches la trilogía del Señor de los Anillos, and Los campesinos de Antón Chéjov.

What's been the most difficult thing you've faced recently in your creative process?
No diría difícil pero lleva tiempo conocer el lugar y la gente, que se te permita estar y convivir.

If you could have dinner at any restaurant in the city tonight, where would it be and what would you order?
Galanga, comida Tailandesa, algún arroz, curris, tamales de arroz, pad Thai, por ahí.

If your life were a movie this month, what would it be called and who would write the soundtrack?
Los tres bandidos y la nahuala del río. Alfredo Olivas y This Will Destroy You.
