The album's common thread is the search for light within the darkness. We always start from the raw, from what hurts or bothers us on a vital level. This permeates the concepts, the lyrics, the sounds, the images.

It all started with the arpeggio of the verses, accompanied by the idea of describing my room. I'm quite chaotic, and at the time I was trying to maintain order, to see if that would give me some peace of mind while I dealt with a breakup.

Doesn’t matter now
My friend Kyle Crane played drums on it, and my friend Alan Parker played guitar and pedal steel. They are wonderfully accomplished players who play and tour with some well loved artists.
