What habit has been sustaining you lately?
The habit of taking my rolls to be developed and saying, “this roll, yes,” and then accepting that no, not this one either.
What time of day do you feel most like yourself?
When I’m at home working, I get up to put on a load of laundry and think that I’m being paid for that moment. Deferred contribution.
When recently did you feel out of place?
At an indie music afternoon party surrounded by heterosexuals.
What are you still holding onto even though you know you’ll eventually have to let go?
The fantasy that this time I actually focused properly with the Fuji GS 645S.
What scares you more today: change or staying the same? Why?
Staying the same. Changing, at least, leaves a trace.
Tell us about a recent experience that made you change your mind or stop believing in something.
Recommend a movie, an album, and a book and tell us why you liked each one.
Movie: Portrait of a Lady on Fire (always with the lesbians).
Album: Bury the Hatchet, The Cranberries. It was my first Compact Disc and I’m very fond of it.
Book: Las malas by Camila Sosa Villada.
What is your favorite restaurant and what do you recommend we order?
El Calderito de la Abuela in Tenerife. Eating any delicacy from their vegetable garden or having a Canary Islands wine while gazing at the Orotava Valley, the Atlantic, and the imposing Teide in the background is enough to make you do cartwheels.
Which friend have you admired lately, and why?
Photographers I admire: Concha De la Rosa, for capturing everyday life among older people with such vitality; Edu Pereiro, because his outpouring of local customs leaves you stunned; and Leo Amaya: light, water, volcanoes… the Canary Islands are Leo Amaya.
