How did this place come about and what made it different from the start?
Coffee Haus was born from the inspiration to create a different kind of space, one where you feel at home. Beyond coffee, we offer experiences, intentional design, and moments that stay with you. We are a specialty coffee place created as a point of conscious pause within the daily routine.

We believe in a space where the urban rhythm slows down, where design does not compete but accompanies. A place where every cup invites presence. We believe in balance between city and nature, between the global and the local, between aesthetics and meaning. We are a place for those who experience the world as an open city, yet seek a real, honest, and conscious pause. We do not follow trends; we build atmospheres.

What part of the day, space, or creative process do those who work here enjoy the most?
We enjoy every small experience. From the very beginning, calibrating the machine and taking the first sip of coffee, to interacting with our customers and getting to know them better, all the way to the joy of seeing a smile when they try our drinks and return again. It truly warms our hearts.

If someone is coming in for the first time, what should they not miss?
We would recommend trying our specialty drinks, the coconut marzipan latte and the cajeta hazelnut latte. They can be served hot or iced. Our taro drink is also a favorite. Our bread is artisanal, and we suggest trying the Nutella-filled croissant or the cruffin filled with chocolate or red berries. For dessert, we have a delicious cajeta cheesecake that you definitely should not miss.

What has been an interesting challenge that has made you rethink something about the project?
In the beginning,, we did not have much knowledge of the coffee world, but our passion pushed us to take barista courses and dive into this wonderful experience full of aromas, flavors, and emotions.

What influence, idea, or reference continues to shape the way you work today?
We are guided by a simple yet powerful idea: coffee as a well-crafted daily ritual. We are inspired by espresso culture as the foundation of our beverages. We believe in coffee as a complete sensory experience involving light, temperature, aroma, and texture. We believe in the power of details: a well-prepared coffee, a space that feels welcoming, music that accompanies you, and service that makes you want to return without hesitation.

What place, project, or person has inspired you recently and why?
We are inspired by a love for coffee as a ritual. We come from a Lebanese background where coffee is a language of respect and generosity. From a very young age, our parents would start the day with the aroma of coffee filling every corner of the house, and coffee was always the central element at any family or friends gathering. It represents an open-door way of living: offering coffee is saying, “I open my home and my heart to you.” At Coffee Haus, coffee is served to welcome, to honor, and to share real moments.

If your space could invite someone to collaborate for a day, who would it be and what would you do together?
We would love to continue collaborating with Mexican coffee growers and producers to create proposals using different bean varieties selected for unique seasonal blends at Coffee Haus, and to keep elevating Mexico’s name within coffee culture.

Is there an object, corner or detail of the place that has a story that few people know?
Our natural tree is the heart of Coffee Haus. It reminds us that there is no growth without roots. Coffee works the same way as life: it is cultivated, it is waited for, it transforms. It is a symbol of process, patience, and meaning. Our tree represents roots, life, nature, time, and presence.

If this project were a city, a book, or a record, which would it be and why?
Coffee Haus would be a mix of New York, Japan, and Mexico. It takes the creative energy of New York, the architectural quality and calm of Japan, and blends them with the hospitality, land, and coffee ritual of Mexico.
