Sometimes, when I have nothing to say, I just wait for the city to speak to me, and I try to translate what it tells me.

Walking aimlessly has allowed me to connect with cities in a different way. All of them are made up of spaces of liquid nature. The mere act of wandering and contemplating leads to an almost spiritual enrichment and constant transformation.

All my life I have had a magnetic attraction for apparently inert environments. This has led me to verify that when we give ourselves to space, we can feel in our bones all the strength and memories that it carries within itself, opening the way to a poetic experience that envelops us in its silence.

The way of reasoning the image is directly related to one's own experience, which makes it possible that with practice, its conception arises spontaneously almost as an act of reflex. But this is only the result of making art a habit in which intuition is the consequence of understanding our environment and its synchrony with our body.
Carlos Perea (1989) is a Mexican photographer and architect, my work revolves around urban analysis, considering the city as a living entity in constant transformation. My interests lie in the morphology of the city, the contemplation of space and the mundane aspects of everyday life.
