I didn’t see the coordinates; I had no intention of stopping to watch the sunset. But something in your gaze cut through my breathing, and I felt something I hadn’t felt in a long time. You stopped my energy, held it in place, and that forced me to speak to you, trying to understand what was happening.

I remember everything spinning when I hugged you. I didn’t care about time, much less about space when you kissed me. I saw you smile as we crossed those illuminated bridges that night, and that’s when I understood what was happening.
