What pieces or projects have you been working on lately?
Lately I've been working on a series of portraits of young creatives in Miami (where I live) in a historic neighborhood.

What did you learn (or unlearn) while working on them?
I love the challenge of photographing a specific area. Once I take a good photo, it becomes more difficult to take another, so I try to find new perspectives and keep an open mind while I work.

What words, ideas or emotions were going through your head?
I didn't really feel any emotion or have any words, but I forced myself to take pictures. I got into the habit of going for walks with my camera, inviting my friends to be in the photos, asking neighbors if they wanted to take a picture. Basically, anything that would motivate me to take a picture instead of waiting for inspiration to strike.

Were there any conversations, movies, music, or books that made their way into that work?
I love movies, but none of them inspired me. The project was adapted into a film to give it that cinematic quality I love. It was a deliberate decision, as I wanted to transcend the monotony of everyday life and find beauty within it.

What's been the most difficult thing you've faced recently in your creative process?
The hardest part of the creative process for me is selecting the photos. I love taking lots of pictures, sometimes too many, so choosing the images for a project can take a long time. I usually wait a while after the shoot to look at the photos with fresh eyes and perspective.

What is your favorite restaurant and what do you recommend we order?
My favorite restaurants in Miami are:
-Puerto Saguas for Cuban food
-Fiorito for Argentinian food
-Enriquetas for a true Miami experience

If your life were a movie this month, what would it be called and who would write the soundtrack?
The film's title would be "Running Without Sleep" and the soundtrack would be by LCD Soundsystem.

Recommend one or more artists you follow who inspire you, and tell us what you like most about their work or their way of working.
I love photography and it's always on my mind. Most of my friends are involved in photography and I find inspiration in them. @rorosiemarie @jolsondiaz @dmoneybonez @ysaperez
