What pieces or projects have you been working on lately?
Lately, I’ve been focused on photographing what I like to call “my life path.” Everything that inspires me comes from my daily life: my friends, my work, my travels; whatever I consider important to me.

What did you learn (or unlearn) while working on them?
Along this path, I’ve had moments full of self-discovery. I’ve learned to be self-taught, to understand that mistakes are sometimes necessary, and most importantly, to be persistent.

What words, ideas or emotions were going through your head?
There were times —like many of us when starting something new— when I felt frustrated. But those moments were overshadowed by a strong sense of belonging, by the feeling that what I’m doing has a purpose for me. At the moment, what excites me most is what lies ahead.

Were there any conversations, movies, music, or books that made their way into that work?
I feel like I’ve been surrounded by very creative environments. The book How I Take Photographs by Daido Moriyama and the film Lost in Translation have been important references for me.

What's been the most difficult thing you've faced recently in your creative process?
Honestly, the hardest part has been doubting whether what I’m doing is good enough, wondering if anyone would like it, and dealing with creative block. I just let my eyes and camera guide me, focusing on finding magic instead of perfection.

What is your favorite restaurant and what do you recommend we order?
My favorite restaurant is Vegan Ramen Mei. I recommend the red tonkotsu—it’s amazing.

If your life were a movie this month, what would it be called and who would write the soundtrack?
Its title would be In my place with the soundtrack by Coldplay.

Recommend one or more artists you follow who inspire you, and tell us what you like most about their work or their way of working.
I’m hugely inspired by Hermann D. Neudert and the whole Neuderts team. Thanks to them, I see a completely different perspective on how you can create and feel through a song, a video, or a photograph. I would love to create with the same passion they have.
