How did this song come about: with an image, a phrase, a melody, or something else?
Garage" was born in the studio, our laboratory; it’s like an in vitro song. Nit, our producer, came up with those chords he took from an old demo of his, and we built it together quite fast!

Who worked or collaborated on this song and how did they contribute to its creation?
At the time, we were constantly five of us hanging out in the studio. The three of us form the band, along with Nit and Yannick Ristorcelli, who owns the studio with Dave (bass and keyboard in the band).

How long did it take to take its final form?
I think it quickly took the shape it has today. Of course not sound-wise, as it was mixed by the great Ash Workman, who contributed to making it sound so good today. But after a few sessions in the studio together, it had all its parts and melodies. It’s never been a tricky song to record! I think it quickly took the shape it has today.

Is there any direct reference or influence (another song, book, movie) that is present in this song?
As I said, Nit came up with guitars that immediately made us think of 2000s garage rock, which is a vibe we’ll always love and respect. So we built this song keeping in mind the music we love from this era. It’s actually the reason why it’s still called "Garage" today.

What other songs or projects are coming up next?
There is another single coming up in March and, of course, the whole album Protocol, which is going to be released on April 24.

Which composers, musicians, bands, producers, and studios would you like to collaborate with in the future?
Easy: either James Murphy in a NY basement, Brian Eno by a lake, or more seriously, Kenny Beats.
