What pieces or projects have you been working on lately?
For a while now, I have been completely focused on analog collages. I love the process: finding, collecting, cutting, deconstructing, selecting, recomposing, pasting… Over the years, I have used different media (painting, drawing, engraving, photogravure), and my personal conception of collage has been shaped at the intersection of all these practices.

What did you learn (or unlearn) while working on them?
I always work on several pieces at the same time. Each collage is a new experience and brings new discoveries. I am fascinated by the unpredictable way images are constructed. Observing how shapes interact or repel each other, how a small amount of color or a different texture can modify the atmosphere of the collage, how moving a fragment can completely change the composition… It is always a way to continue learning.

What words, ideas or emotions were going through your head?
I let curiosity guide me. Through practice, I have acquired a kind of intuition, and when meaning emerges, I react instantly.

Were there any conversations, movies, music, or books that made their way into that work?
Collage brings out the involuntary, the unexpected. Sometimes, intimate memories, feelings, and dreams emerge—undoubtedly influenced by collective culture. My inspiration comes from everywhere. It all blends together.

What's been the most difficult thing you've faced recently in your creative process?
I don’t want to repeat myself, which is not easy, and sometimes I experience a sense of déjà vu. The most difficult thing I face in my creative process is remaining surprised by my own creations.

If your life were a movie this month, what would it be called and who would write the soundtrack?
If my life were a movie this month, the title would simply be These Days , and the soundtrack would be a slow, enveloping theme—like those of Angelo Badalamenti—a tranquil melody that seems to say “everything is fine,” but which soothes the world’s worries rather than denying them.

Which studios, laboratories, or workshops have you collaborated with recently or would you like to collaborate with in the future?
I recently completed an artist residency with Les Boutographies , and I have collaborated with press outlets and publishing houses such as Mia Le Journal and Sirocco Studios. I am always looking for interesting new collaborations.

Recommend one or more artists you follow who inspire you, and tell us what you like most about their work or their way of working.
I recommend Sarah van Rij, whose beautiful exhibition I saw last month at the Maison Européenne de la Photographie. I also recommend my friend Universal Partage, with whom I am currently working on an exhibition project of “four-hand collages,” which is, for me, a new and exciting experience.

I am a visual artist based in the South of France, specialized in collage. My works, often made from papers altered by time, testify to the fragile imprint of human presence in memory.
