1. What is your favorite word? Esdrújula
2. What did you dream last night? If you don't remember, tell us about a recent dream you remember...: Hahaha I dreamed I was at a party with all the cool and recognized Mexican writers and (finally!) I felt included in their group.
The nicest thing was that Valeria Luiselli was super in love with me and my work.
Then I had to dive into a pool that had a very long table in the center, like a Coca-Cola advertisement. I couldn't get out to breathe because my head had hit the table from underneath.
Somehow I was pretty sure we were all in the pool at the Jungle Casino Hotel in “Under the Volcano” and that we were all Malcolm Lowry characters. The color of the whole dream was like seventies photography, green-blue and orange.
3. What is the movie that made you laugh the most? Range
4. What song would you like to have played at your funeral? Fuck. The right spark (too bad, but it's true).
5. What is your definition of «art»? Íjole.
I believe that art is everything that unites us.
6. What would be your ideal project or collaboration? I would like Demian Hirst to do a play in response to my novel “Echo”.
I would also like to write a poetry collection based on the work of Wolfgang Paalen.
7. What is the best advice anyone has ever given you? “Always present your work in a professional manner.”
The teacher Enrique Vigil told me this at the university. He gave us the example of Marilyn Manson. He told us how admirably professional and serious he was about contracts. What he told us stuck in my mind: “on stage he is the character everyone knows, but in the office he is the most punctual, serious and professional person in show business”.
8. If you could change anything in the world, what would you change? I would love it if we all had a cooperative conscience.
9. A penguin comes into your room with a hat on. What is the first thing he says to you and why is he in your room? “The sharpest are they.”.
It is part of Hoffhann's calculations and comes to validate all connections.
I invite it to shell but it falls asleep spinning in the air (horizontally, OBVIOUSLY).
10. Describe (in 100 words maximum) what you do..: I am a storyteller, poet and social activist.
