Born in Tepito, Mexico City, in 1980. He has received the San Luis Potosí Fine Arts Short Story Prize 2012, the Agustín Yáñez Prize 2015, the Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz International Prize 2017 and the Ventosa-Arrufat / Elena Poniatowska Amor Foundation 2024 Short Story Contest.
