What pieces or projects have you been working on lately?
The project is called DEATH METAL BALLAD. It is a photo essay, a performance, a diary…

What did you learn (or unlearn) while working on them?
I’m still in the process, but one very important thing: say no to the afterparty.

What words, ideas or emotions were going through your head?
The idea of a death metal ballad feels very powerful to me, something harsh yet soft at the same time.

Were there any conversations, movies, music, or books that made their way into that work?
Always: the Guerrero neighborhood, Harmony Korine, the Mexican poet Carlos Martínez Rentería, Miguel Calderon, Fadanelli, Brigitte Bardot, Amalia Ulman, Genesis P-Orridge.

What's been the most difficult thing you've faced recently in your creative process?
Keeping up with the pace of life.

What is your favorite restaurant and what do you recommend we order?
Noste House
in colonia Guerrero, the pork belly and shrimp taco.

If your life were a movie this month, what would it be called and who would write the soundtrack?
DEATH METAL BALLAD. The soundtrack would be by my band: ATTENTION WHORES.
