Matcha and pride in Rome

Saturday, June 21, Casona Roma Norte will be the scene of Matcha Pride Sessions, a multi-sensory experience that celebrates pride, creativity and the contemporary matcha ritual, with live music by Tello Pila and a gastronomic proposal curated by La Macaria Matcha & Tea Room.

Starting at 10:00 am, the space will be transformed into a vibrant haven where flavor, rhythm and community intertwine. At the center of the event is matcha, reinterpreted by Michoacan chefs Elena López and Macarena Laris in unexpected ways: drinks like Matcha Mimosa or Yakult Matcha, sweet breads like Fruity Pebbles scone or mini Confetti cake, and combinations like Purple Day, an espresso with condensed milk and blackberry syrup.

With a grab-and-go approach, but with an elevated and precise execution, La Macaria has managed to become one of the best kept secrets inside Casona Roma Norte, the experience house that brings together art, hospitality and gastronomy in one of the most beautiful corners of the Roma neighborhood.

The sound atmosphere will be in the hands of Tello Pila, Mexican house pioneer, key figure in the national electronic music scene and founder of the Zotz Recordingz label. With a career that spans from Tulum to international festivals such as The BPM and Heineken Fest, his set at Matcha Pride Sessions promises to envelop the space with soft and deep electronic textures.

Beyond a brand activation, Matcha Pride Sessions is presented as an experience designed for those who seek the unexpected: complex flavors, music with history and a celebration of diversity that moves away from the cliché to become intimate, elegant and deeply sensory.

Casona Roma Norte reaffirms its role as a host of experiences that connect the local with the global, the everyday with the extraordinary. After the recent inclusion of its central restaurant Aquiles in the Michelin Guide Mexico 2025, The space continues to focus on projects that combine art, cuisine and community with a precise and authentic curatorship.
