What habit has been sustaining you lately?
Desde hace años, lo primero que hago cada mañana es leer al lado de la ventana de mi comedor mientras me tomo un café. Me hace inmensamente feliz empezar los días de esta manera.

What time of day do you feel most like yourself?
In the mornings, when the day is fresh, open and full of possibilities.

When recently did you feel out of place?
Sometimes my work takes me to places far removed from my usual circles. For example, I was recently taking photos in a team building from a fairly large company. Right now I definitely feel very out of place, but at the same time I find it very fun to be able to peek into these kinds of realities so foreign to my own.

Where do you rest when the world gets too noisy?
Going to the mountains, alone or with friends, always resets me. Wandering aimlessly or a long hug from my partner also rarely fails.

What are you still holding onto even though you know you’ll eventually have to let go?
There are things from the past that still pierce me like thorns. With great patience, I'm getting rid of them. I trust what my mother used to say when I was little: that all thorns, in time, eventually come out.

What scares you more today: change or staying the same? Why?
Staying the same. In general, I feel that static things don't have much of a future.

Tell us about a recent experience that made you change your mind or stop believing in something.
One day, talking to my psychotherapist, I asked if people dream in different ways. She said yes, that some people dream without images, others with abstract forms, some in the first person and others in the third. She also told me that if we could enter another person's mind, it would take us a very long time to understand the world around us. I find it fascinating that, even though we share the same spaces, we are all interpreting things from very different perspectives. I like to imagine reality as sustained by this kaleidoscope of viewpoints.

Recommend a movie, an album, and a book and tell us why you liked each one.
Movie: Un homme et une femme de Claude Lelouch.
A beautiful film in every absolute sense.

Album: Pink Moonby Nick Drake.
No matter how many years pass, it's still there with me.

Book: Second Place by Rachel Cusk.
I deeply admire this author, but this particular book touched me especially. I read it twice, practically back-to-back. Her way of looking at the world and talking about human relationships resonates with me greatly.

What is your favorite coffee shop and why do you like going there?
I really like going to Laie's cafeteria in Barcelona. It's a very nice place. I love going there alone and spending hours pretending to work while I get lost in my daydreams.

Which friend have you admired lately, and why?
I admire the sensitivity and perspective of Agata. Her way of inhabiting the world and expressing herself (whether through photography or words) touches and inspires me greatly :-)
