Run Forever

Which tools did you use for the creation of this piece?
Photoshop.

What was the creative process behind it, from the beginning until it was finished?
A lot of my work is just piecing things together that I think look & feel right. Combining images, textures, and words that all feel cohesive. This specific piece was more of an exploration in texture than anything else. I really wanted a faded, blurry look, as if someone was actually running. So I spent a lot of time in photoshop manipulating those layers.

It’s a challenge to be okay with creating minimalist art because in a way, it feels effortless.

What were your references?
I was listening to the song called Run Forever by Emma Ruth Rundle while browsing through some images I had lying around, and came across the photo used and thought that title is perfect for this image.

What did you enjoy the most about the process?
I really love finding the intersection between art and music, so being able to find that is always the most enjoyable part.

What was the hardest thing for you and how did you solve it?
Letting go of the idea that things have to be complicated in order to be good.
