What pieces or projects have you been working on lately?
<\/strong>Recently, I have been making work that sits within a lot of different worlds. Freely exploring how image-making and storytelling can cohesively become an expression within documentary, fashion, and alternative processes. Inspired and reflective of my travels, the places, the people. Like little meditations on moments lived and dreamt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What did you learn (or unlearn) while working on it?<\/strong>
Realising that my relationship with image-making is multi-faceted and doesn’t need to sit within a box. It can be led by expression and experiences, as well as curiosity and desire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What words, ideas or emotions were running through your head?<\/strong>
I have been sitting with the idea of collecting moments, true or made up. The way that the camera can capture, expand, and hold on to something so sacredly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Were there any conversations, movies, music, or books that made their way into that work?
<\/strong>Spending time in Latin America, countries and cultures so far from what I have ever known. The number of people, the traditions and rituals, and ways of life. The warmth of strangers, the colour, and constant chaos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What’s been the most difficult thing you’ve faced recently in your creative process?<\/strong>
Navigating ways to have my work live outside of the internet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is your favorite coffee shop and why do you like going there?<\/strong>
I have been spending time at Cicatriz<\/strong><\/a>; their little space feels so romantic with the sun dappling through the trees and lots of people passing by.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If your life were a movie this month, what would it be called and who would write the soundtrack?<\/strong>
Recently in Colombia, a woman sang a Sim\u00f3n D\u00edaz song to me on the guitar, and it has stuck with me since. \u2018Tonada De Luna Llena\u2019 would soundtrack my month: a soft, mystical life amongst the chaos of the city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Which studios, laboratories, or workshops have you collaborated with recently or would you like to collaborate with in the future?<\/strong>
I have been having film developed and scanned with Foto Hercules<\/strong><\/a>, and I will be beginning to get back into the darkroom with FOCO Lab<\/strong><\/a>, developing and printing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Recommend one or more artists you follow who inspire you, and tell us what you like most about their work or their way of working.
<\/strong>My partner Liam Cosford<\/strong><\/a> is a ceramic artist and is currently in the middle of a residency here in CDMX. Watching him completely engrossed in his work, exploring and expanding his practice, has been so inspiring. He has a freedom, obsession, and childlike curiosity towards making, which radiates into our lives together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
