What pieces or projects have you been working on lately?
<\/strong>Breathing Surface<\/em> explores how paper and the human body record and reveal memory through touch and movement, drawing a parallel between the visible mark left by a crease in paper and the lasting imprint of experience on the body.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The project follows three performers from varied backgrounds, without defining them by discipline. Their movements form a woven, non-linear story. Paper shifts from passive to active, becoming surface, structure and sound, touching the skin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What did you learn (or unlearn) while working on them?
<\/strong>I learned and developed my knowledge of the black-and-white darkroom process, having primarily used digital photography prior to this. I also learned the benefits of working with collaborators who have complementary skill sets and aligned visions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/strong>Simultaneously having to create and analyse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
