How did this place come about and what made it different from the start?
<\/strong>It was born from the opportunity to create something new in a space that was given to us within Frenes\u00ed Store<\/strong><\/a>. We started with a very small bar, made by ourselves, and little by little it grew until it became what it is today: a constantly evolving project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In its early days, it had a very underground feel, but over time it became a meeting point, a home for those who know it and for newcomers. From the beginning, what made it different was precisely that: building it from scratch, with intention, and opening it up to collaborations with other creatives, dreamers, and artisans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What part of the day, space, or creative process do those who work here enjoy the most?
<\/strong>There's something very special about starting the day: opening up the space, turning on the machine, calibrating it, preparing the first coffee in the calm of the morning. It's a very pure moment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We also really enjoy creating seasonal drinks and experimenting with new flavors. That's where things get creative: thinking about what's next, what we can do differently, and how to turn each drink into an experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If someone is coming in for the first time, what should they not miss?
<\/strong>The details. The bar, the decor, the furniture\u2026 everything is thoughtfully designed and built with intention. Our drinks, too, are the heart of it all, so don't be afraid to ask for recommendations or inquire about the specials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And beyond the coffee, don't miss the collaborations, the pop-ups in other spaces, and the workshops we organize, because they are part of the Podspott experience and the community we are creating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What has been an interesting challenge that has made you rethink something about the project?
<\/strong>Growing up surrounded by well-established local businesses and franchises can be intimidating. It makes you question many things, but it also forces you to reaffirm your identity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another significant challenge has been working at events and pop-ups: moving the bar, adapting to new spaces, and finding solutions on the spot. Over time, we've perfected this process, improving our equipment, furniture, and operations, always with a passionate team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What influence, idea, or reference continues to shape the way you work today?
<\/strong>We're inspired by the clean, raw look of stainless steel, that industrial yet refined aesthetic. We contrast it with organic elements like plants, which bring the space to life. This balance between the raw and the warm defines what we do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What place, project, or person has inspired you recently and why?
<\/strong>We're inspired to see other local entrepreneurs grow and stand out with their own unique style. Within the coffee world, there's a very open community where collaboration, the exchange of ideas, and constant learning are more important than competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If your space could invite someone to collaborate for a day, who would it be and what would you do together?
<\/strong>We would love to collaborate with flat&white<\/strong><\/a>, or even take it to something more experimental with someone from the creative world, perhaps with national artists. It would also be interesting to work with someone from the world of haute cuisine and explore coffee from a different perspective, taking it to new formats and experiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Is there an object, corner or detail of the place that has a story that few people know?
<\/strong>Ray dropped the machine down a staircase and survived: from then on we knew that this project was going to withstand anything too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If this project were a city, a book, or a record, which would it be and why?
<\/strong>It would be like the song \u201c\u00bfC\u00f3mo es que se hace?<\/strong><\/a>\" by Latin Mafia: something that doesn't follow an exact formula, that is built in the process, with intuition, mistakes, attempts and a lot of its own identity. A project that doesn't seek to be perfect, but authentic.
