What pieces or projects have you been working on lately?<\/strong>
I have been working on visually documenting patron saint festivals, Day of the Dead traditions, and the lives of working women from different towns in Mexico City and its outskirts, accompanied by report-style texts for publication in media outlets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What did you learn (or unlearn) while working on them?<\/strong>
A lo largo del camino de la fotograf\u00eda anal\u00f3gica he aprendido a experimentar con diferentes rollos, entre ellos algunos caducados que hac\u00edan que se viera con m\u00e1s nostalgia y a\u00f1oranza dichas festividades.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What words, ideas or emotions were going through your head?
<\/strong>Sin duda, durante esos proyectos quer\u00eda plasmar la vividez de los recuerdos; cada que disparaba sent\u00eda una melancol\u00eda de aquello que queremos recordar siguiendo las tradiciones y costumbres combinadas con la cotidianidad de lo contempor\u00e1neo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Were there any conversations, movies, music, or books that made their way into that work?<\/strong>
During those months, I listened a lot to \u201cOutro\u201d by Diles que no me maten<\/a><\/strong>, \u201cQui\u00e9n Fuera\u201d by the Bunkers<\/a><\/strong> , and \u201cPeligro\u201d by Ely Guerra<\/a><\/strong>. These songs were always present, like soundtracks behind each shot, accompanying these photographs. Still, behind every photograph there are powerful human stories that give them context\u2014stories that always move the heart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What's been the most difficult thing you've faced recently in your creative process?<\/strong>
The most difficult part of the creative process is that it has become more intimidating to photograph everyday life. Now, you often have to ask for permission before taking a photo, which makes the moment feel less organic and complicates the creative process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is your favorite restaurant and what do you recommend we order?<\/strong>
My favorite restaurant is Art\u00edculo 123<\/a><\/strong> in Mexico City. Their Khao Pad Sapparod is one of the most exquisite dishes, along with their pomegranate water.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If your life were a movie this month, what would it be called and who would write the soundtrack?<\/strong>
El mes de enero mi vida ha tenido giros de 180\u00ba para bien. A\u00f1os de estar trabajando en lo que m\u00e1s me gusta y en lo que siempre me llam\u00f3 la atenci\u00f3n al fin est\u00e1 dando frutos, por lo que la titular\u00eda: The Fullness of the Last Breath<\/em>, and Luisa Almaguer<\/a><\/strong> would do the soundtrack.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Recommend one or more artists you follow who inspire you, and tell us what you like most about their work or their way of working.<\/strong><\/strong>
My favorite artists are Theo Le Foll<\/a><\/strong>\u2014I love his vision behind the lens and how he can capture so much in such a small format\u2014and Luis Ramone<\/a><\/strong> , for his motion photography, which I find incredibly beautiful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
