What pieces or projects have you been working on lately?
<\/strong>I have a few things going on at the moment. I\u2019ve just finished curating and printing a photo book for a photographer friend; it turned out beautifully. I\u2019m on a lifelong mission to take portraits of my beautiful friends. I have a roll of Ilford FP4 Plus in one of my cameras at the moment for double exposing. I\u2019m nearly finished with that one and I\u2019m super excited to see how they come out. I\u2019ve been dipping my toes into the world of cyanotypes and screen printing too; it\u2019ll be fun to put my photos through some other mediums.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

What did you learn (or unlearn) while working on them?
<\/strong>Leaning into your creative network is so important. Brainstorming out loud with your people is such a game changer when it comes to drive and self confidence. I used to keep all my projects and ideas to myself out of fear that I wouldn\u2019t finish them, which then became a self fulfilling prophecy. But I\u2019ve been really loud about it with these last few creative ventures. Talking through ideas and plans with my creative community keeps me excited and inspired, and I feel like it helps hold me accountable for following through and finishing things too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Were there any conversations, movies, music, or books that made their way into that work?
<\/strong>A lot of gratitude has been flowing through me while making a lot of my recent work. A lot of gratefulness, and a lot of \u201cwow look at that light!\u201d
I\u2019ve been doing a lot of meditation\/visualisation the last few months while listening to \"Tether\" by Annahstasia<\/a><\/strong>, and I love trying to channel those vibes through my work. It feels flowy and atmospheric but it\u2019s also so bold and grounding. It\u2019s very intimate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

What's been the most difficult thing you've faced recently in your creative process?
<\/strong>I really had to make myself slow down and take a break recently though. I worked a lot over the summer to the point of exhaustion and I ended up pretty sick. It hit my mental state just as hard as it hit physically, and I could really feel it seeping into my art in a way I didn\u2019t like. But I\u2019m good now! I had some much needed downtime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is your favorite restaurant and what do you recommend we order?<\/strong>
Taro\u2019s Ramen<\/a><\/strong>in Stones Corner is my favourite spot. Order the tonkotsu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If your life were a movie this month, what would it be called and who would write the soundtrack?
<\/strong>Lucid Dreams and the City Cat<\/em>. Soundtrack featuring Julia Wolf<\/a><\/strong>, Turnstile<\/a><\/strong> and Momma<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Recommend one or more artists you follow who inspire you, and tell us what you like most about their work or their way of working.<\/strong>
Desir\u00e9e<\/a><\/strong> has been my favourite artist for the longest time. She has such a unique, modern-ethereal style. She\u2019s so attentive; she puts so much genuine love and care into her creative process. Working with Desir\u00e9e is a dream.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
