What pieces or projects have you been working on lately?
<\/strong>I spent my early childhood by the beach, in R\u00edo de Janeiro. After my parents\u2019 divorce, we moved to Ciudad de M\u00e9xico, my mother\u2019s home country\u2014but only for a short time. Plans changed, and I attended third grade in Varsovia during the fall of the Ca\u00edda del Muro de Berl\u00edn. Later, my mom decided we would move to Playa del Carmen in 1994, when it was still an untouched beach town. There, at just fourteen, I got my first tattoo. Some time later, Hurricane Roxana drove us out, and we returned to Ciudad Sat\u00e9lite. I currently live in the middle of nowhere in Tennessee, United States.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lately, I\u2019ve been working alongside my partner on a multimedia project that intersects performance, video, and music, incorporating my handmade masks and analog photography. All my photographs are analog, driven by a need to materialize memories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What did you learn (or unlearn) while working on them?
<\/strong>What I learned\u2014and unlearned\u2014while working on these projects was the importance of imperfection. As they say in English, \u201chappy accidents,\u201d which are now always welcome to me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What words, ideas or emotions were going through your head?
<\/strong>The words, ideas, and emotions that ran through my mind were: follow your instinct, don\u2019t overthink it, and lastly, it\u2019s better to ask for forgiveness than permission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Were there any conversations, movies, music, or books that made their way into that work?
<\/strong>My inspiration is everywhere\u2014that\u2019s what I love about photography: if you look, you\u2019ll find it. I truly don\u2019t need much to get creative. It\u2019s a fact that music and film have profoundly influenced my path. I seek out deep conversations at the slightest provocation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is your favorite restaurant and what do you recommend we order?<\/strong>
I love good food, so I have many favorite restaurants, but it\u2019s worth mentioning that the Wagyu taco at OnceMil<\/a><\/strong> is on another level\u2014it doesn\u2019t even need salsa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If your life were a movie this month, what would it be called and who would write the soundtrack?
<\/strong>If this month my life were a film, the title would be: Second Chances Are White<\/em>, and the soundtrack would be by Anna von Hausswolff<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Recommend one or more artists you follow who inspire you, and tell us what you like most about their work or their way of working.
<\/strong>These are the artists I would recommend in 2026. Musically: Brutalismus 3000<\/a><\/strong>, a German music group that reminds me of one of my favorite bands, Atari Teenage Riot<\/a><\/strong>. Film: I\u2019m currently obsessed with Park Chan-wook<\/a><\/strong>. Photography: Charalampos Kydonakis<\/a><\/strong>. Books: anything written by Haruki Murakami<\/a><\/strong>. I like these artists because they\u2019re direct\u2014or as we say in Mexico, they don\u2019t mince words.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
