What pieces or projects have you been working on lately?
<\/strong>My project for 2026 is to detach myself from work, to have a year that\u2019s less boring than the last one, and for my photos to reflect that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

No tengo un proyecto muy concreto, solo fotograf\u00edo cosas que veo. No podr\u00eda decir que mis fotos son una especie de diario, en los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os he estado m\u00e1s orientado a la foto de calle y siempre con c\u00e1maras de pel\u00edcula. Me gusta capturar cosas que me produzcan alg\u00fan tipo de sentimiento, no solo cosas que se vean bien est\u00e9ticamente. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

What did you learn (or unlearn) while working on them?
<\/strong>Strangely, years ago I felt a constant urgency to share my photos. But now, the last rolls I shot are still sitting in my archive. I wanted to do something different (not just post on Instagram), and I think this space arrives at just the right moment for that. I\u2019m also learning that being angry can be good for me \u2014 and that I don\u2019t want to waste my life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What words, ideas or emotions were going through your head?
<\/strong>Nostalgia, transparency, pleasure, confrontation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Were there any conversations, movies, music, or books that made their way into that work?
<\/strong>I think Shed <\/em>from Title Fight<\/a><\/strong> is an album I can listen to when I\u2019m angry, fed up, or desperate \u2014 and lately there\u2019s been a lot of that. I recently watched Night is Short, Walk On Girl<\/a><\/strong><\/em>; it carries a strong spirit of discovery and connection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What's been the most difficult thing you've faced recently in your creative process?
<\/strong>In 2025, I went through the least inspired and least motivated period to take photos in the almost 12 years I\u2019ve been doing it. There were months when I felt practically no interest in even trying. That year, work consumed me and I took very few photos. Now I\u2019m fighting against that. I\u2019m trying to live more, to feel more, to not let the chaos crush me. I feel like I\u2019m reclaiming my sensitivity and my time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

What is your favorite restaurant and what do you recommend we order?
<\/strong>My favorite places are in cities I haven\u2019t lived in for years. In M\u00e9rida, have a Donkatsu and an order of mandu at Choga Seoul<\/a><\/strong>. Here in Mexico City, I like going to the Panda Express<\/a><\/strong> at Oasis (specifically that one); Mendl<\/a><\/strong> is good too; and hidden among the streets of Santo Domingo there\u2019s a street sushi stand called Kanpai \u2014 I like ordering the Kiury Roll or the Yakimeshi, Chef\u2019s Special version.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If your life were a movie this month, what would it be called and who would write the soundtrack?
<\/strong>It would be called\u00a0More Life<\/em>, and Porter Robinson<\/a><\/strong> would do the soundtrack.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Recommend one or more artists you follow who inspire you, and tell us what you like most about their work or their way of working.
<\/strong>What excites me most is seeing the photos my friends and people I know take. Follow my friend Marcoss Reyes<\/a><\/strong> if nostalgia pulls you in too, and my friend Jennifer Guillermina<\/a><\/strong> if you need a photo session.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On another note, what Yusuke Nagata<\/a><\/strong>, y c\u00f3mo lo hace, siempre me contagia una emoci\u00f3n por disfrutar el momento. Cuando necesito motivaci\u00f3n veo los videos de su canal o videos en los que \u00e9l aparece en Youtube. En esa misma l\u00ednea, tambi\u00e9n Daniel Arnold <\/a><\/strong>and Trevor Wisecup<\/a><\/strong> have a very beautiful way of seeing things. From our country, Patricio Malag\u00f3n is my favorite photographer. There\u2019s an excess of reality in his photos \u2014 whatever that might mean.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
