What pieces or projects have you been working on lately?<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong>
Lately I\u2019ve been working on very different projects, which all somehow meet at the same point. I documented behind-the-scenes moments of a film project, shot a pregnancy session, a couple shooting and a lot of everyday photography. Small details, walks, portraits, travels, places I stayed at, spaces that felt like home. No matter the setting, my work has been very much about emotions and intimacy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

What did you learn (or unlearn) while working on them?<\/strong>
Working with analogue photography still feels risky sometimes to me, there\u2019s the fear of messing things up, but I also understood that this risk is exactly what I love about it. Waiting for the right moment instead of taking hundreds of images taught me to slow down, be present and less afraid of imperfection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

What words, ideas or emotions were going through your head?<\/strong>
I often had the voices of my friends in my head, telling me that my work feels special, aesthetic and that I should believe in it more. Their feedback stayed with me while shooting, balancing my own doubts with encouragement, warmth and a growing sense of confidence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Were there any conversations, movies, music, or books that made their way into that work?<\/strong>
Many conversations with friends and acquaintances shaped my work. Talking about life, uncertainty and small joys stayed with me while photographing. The film Perfect Days<\/em> <\/a><\/strong>by Wim Wenders had a strong influence on me, as well as the book 25 letzte Sommer<\/em><\/a><\/strong> by Stephan Sch\u00e4fer. Both reflect a gentle appreciation for everyday life, time and the beauty found in simplicity and repetition. Themes that strongly resonate with my visual work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

What's been the most difficult thing you've faced recently in your creative process?<\/strong>
While working behind the scenes of a film project, the most difficult part was deciding which moments to capture and which to let pass. At the same time, I had to work on trusting myself and believing that my way of seeing and documenting these moments would be appreciated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

What is your favorite restaurant and what do you recommend we order?<\/strong>
I\u2019d go to Orangerie Neuk\u00f6lln<\/a><\/strong> in Berlin. I love the atmosphere there. Sitting in front of K\u00f6rnerpark, I\u2019d order a cappuccino with oat milk, their homemade pear lavender lemonade, the roasted eggplant sandwich with miso-marinated eggplant, smoked tofu and tahini. Something sweet is also always needed, so I\u2019d finish with the brioche topped with whipped butter, chocolate cream and roasted hazelnuts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

If your life were a movie this month, what would it be called and who would write the soundtrack?<\/strong>
The title would be Soft Focus<\/em>, with a soundtrack by Rival Consoles<\/a><\/strong>. Atmospheric, emotional and subtle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Recommend one or more artists you follow who inspire you, and tell us what you like most about their work or their way of working.<\/strong>
I find inspiration in many places rather than one specific artist. In friends, strangers and people who create intuitively. I\u2019m especially drawn to photographers who focus on atmosphere and feeling. Their way of seeing encourages me to stay true to my own pace and sensitivity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
