Hatred is the best impulse I have for writing, not because everything I write when I\u2019m angry is worthwhile, but because hatred seems to fan the flames of my creative process. Just as a finger down the throat provokes vomiting, hatred in my mind produces writing. If I don\u2019t feel capable of writing, I try to irritate myself over any trifle, and then the words gush out without me having to go after them, filling page after page and, every now and then, producing something I can feel moderately proud of.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
