What pieces or projects have you been working on lately?<\/strong>
In addition to my main work, I always try to explore alternative forms of photography. At some point in 2019, I started one of my alternative Instagram accounts, where I focus exclusively on black-and-white photography. The only order that exists there is a repetitive pattern that I hope people will discover and enjoy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

What did you learn (or unlearn) while working on them?<\/strong>
I\u2019ve realized that, in some cases, I prefer my photographs in black and white. Of course, not always, but comparing two images where the only difference is the absence of color, or the use of monochrome, and finding that one is more compelling than the other, is something I find very interesting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What words, ideas or emotions were going through your head?<\/strong>
My personal or alternative projects were born out of a job I once had where what I love \u2014taking photographs\u2014 had been systematized. I realized I needed to do other things, as I felt boxed in by that job at the time. That habit stayed with me: even now, I use one camera for work and another for more creative pursuits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Were there any conversations, movies, music, or books that made their way into that work?<\/strong>
None that I can recall specifically, but I always try to do things that inspire me or pull me out of routine, going to the movies, visiting a museum, walking through places I don\u2019t frequent very often, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What's been the most difficult thing you've faced recently in your creative process?<\/strong>
The creative process can be a roller coaster. Sometimes you can be extremely creative out of nowhere, and other times you may have all the tools and feel completely uninspired. This is very normal and happens all the time. When that happens to me, I try to keep working or taking photos regardless of my mood, at the end of the day, art always finds a way to emerge.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

What is your favorite restaurant and what do you recommend we order?<\/strong>
I don\u2019t have just one favorite, but I definitely recommend La Cigala.<\/a><\/strong> Order the best tuna tostada in the city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
