What pieces or projects have you been working on lately?<\/strong>
I am currently working on digital and analog portraits, focusing on compositions of the human figure in different bodies of water.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In these photographs, there is a connection between the visually poetic and profound nature of water as a natural element, seen from a spiritual perspective, and the body as an instrument for interpreting it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What did you learn (or unlearn) while working on them?<\/strong>
I believe I\u2019ve learned to be more patient with this project. I feel like I\u2019ve learned to work slowly, because in the end, it\u2019s something I\u2019ve always wanted to do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What words, ideas or emotions were going through your head?<\/strong>
The words that came to me with this project were:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

sea,
memories,
blues,
the language of water,
absence,
the nostalgia of being,
healing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Were there any conversations, movies, music, or books that made their way into that work?<\/strong>
For this project, my creative process was an exploration of my personal taste. Things I consider very much my own: water, the sea, music, poetry, and spiritual themes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I usually accompany my creative process with music, and one song I couldn\u2019t stop listening to for this project was \u201cElla Brilla\u201d<\/em> <\/a><\/strong>by Riza & Hume.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What's been the most difficult thing you've faced recently in your creative process?<\/strong>
In a world that moves so fast, a creative challenge is finding the time and space to create. For me, creating is a ritualistic act that requires a process. Finding that inspiration, those moments when everything flows, can be complex.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My advice is: don\u2019t force yourself to solve everything in one afternoon. When a new idea arrives, it\u2019s an invitation to create, but along the way there will always be new ways to visually resolve those ideas and manifestos. Many take years, and sometimes constant repetition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

What is your favorite restaurant and what do you recommend we order?<\/strong>
I\u2019m someone who gets obsessed with songs \u2014I play them over and over for a month or a week\u2014 and also with food and restaurants. Right now, my favorite restaurant is Campo Mar Cocina Nayarita, <\/a><\/strong>a seafood place. Most of the dishes are excellent, but my obsession is their grilled octopus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If your life were a movie this month, what would it be called and who would write the soundtrack?<\/strong>
If my life were a movie right now, it would be called \u201cSecrets kept by water\u201d<\/em>. The plot would be a romance between two sailors who escape to an island to live out their love story. The soundtrack would be by Lana del Rey<\/a><\/strong>, of course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Recommend one or more artists you follow who inspire you, and tell us what you like most about their work or their way of working.<\/strong>
As an artist and creative, I\u2019m always seeking more: more perspectives, more ideas. Right now, my attention has been captivated by the work of Nicol\u00e1s Dallwitz<\/a><\/strong>. His work is a mix of dreams, esoteric themes, and new technologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
