What pieces or projects have you been working on lately?<\/strong>
I always have several project ideas in mind. Sometimes I haven\u2019t even finished one project and I\u2019m already starting to plan the next. Sometimes it gets messy because I\u2019d prefer things to come out quickly, but I also really enjoy exploring my possibilities within my possibilities. Right now I have three projects with musicians: album covers and singles, a collection of photoshoots, photography for my music, and I have a polaroid project. That\u2019s always been my favorite format.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What did you learn (or unlearn) while working on them?<\/strong>
The best photos I\u2019ve taken are the unplanned ones or the ones that were improvised. Whether a lamp failed, the original idea wasn\u2019t working during the session, or my space was limited at a concert, etc. Photos don\u2019t have to be perfect all the time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What words, ideas or emotions were going through your head?<\/strong>
Sensitivity and enigma. I prefer few words and ambiguous answers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Were there any conversations, movies, music, or books that made their way into that work?<\/strong>
My obsession with covers, whether albums or magazines, and at the same time the spontaneity that comes through in some of them. Portraits, analog textures, and contrasts. It\u2019s my obsession in everything I do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What's been the most difficult thing you've faced recently in your creative process?<\/strong>
I tend to be very rigid and absolutist. Perfectionist. If I don\u2019t have something specific, it\u2019s not going to work. That\u2019s a lie. The hardest thing I\u2019ve faced is understanding that creativity doesn\u2019t work that way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is your favorite restaurant and what do you recommend we order?<\/strong>
Cicala Caffetteria<\/a><\/strong> in Berlin. The pistachio cream\u2013filled croissant is the most delicious thing you\u2019ll ever try.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If your life were a movie this month, what would it be called and who would write the soundtrack?<\/strong>
I think of a synopsis about self-reflection, empathy, peace, and hope. I thought of Northern Star<\/a><\/strong>, one of my favorite songs by Hole. The soundtrack would definitely be by Fiona Apple<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Recommend one or more artists you follow who inspire you, and tell us what you like most about their work or their way of working.<\/strong>
Roberta Bayley<\/a><\/strong> as always been my visual reference; she captures spontaneity in a way that can\u2019t be replicated, and she inspires me every time I see her work. Pamela Leal<\/a><\/strong> is an incredible photographer and a very important person in my life. She inspires me to keep experimenting and not close myself off to any \"preconceived\" ideas.
