Entonces, la idea siempre fue dar voz a proyectos autogestivos&nbsp;e independientes. Luego, la editorial se convirti\u00f3&nbsp;en un espacio f\u00edsico en 2023 cuando <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/simona_sol\/\">Simona<\/a> y yo nos reencontramos en el mismo momento de la vida dejando nuestros trabajos en arquitectura. Somos dos arquitectas lanzadas al mundo de los libros, as\u00ed&nbsp;que no siempre sab\u00edamos lo que est\u00e1bamos&nbsp;haciendo dirigiendo una librer\u00eda, lo que nos sostuvo fue la amistad. Desde el principio esa misi\u00f3n&nbsp;de cultivar amistades entre nosotras, editoriales y autores es lo que nos ha llevado a crear un espacio abierto y acogedor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What part of the day, space, or creative process do those who work here enjoy the most?<br><\/strong>Disfrutamos mucho poder colaborar con editoriales y autores independientes a diario, aunque tal vez a\u00fan m\u00e1s gratificante es poder hacerles recomendaciones&nbsp;a nuestros clientes. Cuando alguien llega a la librer\u00eda buscando algo especial es c\u00f3mo comenzar una b\u00fasqueda&nbsp;de tesoro o empezar un caminito compartido entre nosotros y el cliente. No solo manejamos libros tal cual sino coleccionamos y ofrecemos libros que var\u00edan&nbsp;de material y forma. Tenemos libros completamente sin texto,&nbsp;hechos de tela,&nbsp;en forma de pergamino&nbsp;o acorde\u00f3n, para desarmar y rearmar, con hojas para sembrar plantas y mucho m\u00e1s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What has been an interesting challenge that has made you rethink something about the project?<br><\/strong>Un desaf\u00edo de La Fiera siempre ha sido el tama\u00f1o del espacio. Somos un local chiquitito as\u00ed que cuando hemos organizado eventos nos ha tocado completamente transformar el espacio en s\u00ed. Al principio la gente no cab\u00eda en el espacio entonces hemos tenido que ponernos creativos con c\u00f3mo organizamos los libros y los muebles. De hecho incluso hemos podido acomodar todo para que quepa un cine. Cada mes&nbsp;la librer\u00eda se transforma en cine y, m\u00e1gicamente, vuelve a ser una librer\u00eda antes de medianoche.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What influence, idea, or reference continues to shape the way you work today?<br><\/strong>Lo que nos influye mucho son otras&nbsp;editoriales y librer\u00edas que intentan promover el proyecto independiente. Recibimos muchos libros de editoriales o distribuidores que nos inspiran mucho. Tambi\u00e9n,&nbsp;en La Fiera nos suelen llegar proyectos o fragmentos de libros de autores o artistas sin editoriales y sin representaci\u00f3n. We see equally small, yet special, shops that inspire us not just to be a business, but to be part of the neighborhood's fabric. At the end of the day, we want to be a special place not just because we sell books, but because we're part of a community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>If your space could invite someone to collaborate for a day, who would it be and what would you do together?<br><\/strong>If we could invite someone to collaborate, we would invite M\u00f3nica Figueroa. We greatly admire her work and would love to collaborate with her on a drawing workshop or a publication.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Is there an object, corner or detail of the place that has a story that few people know?<br><\/strong>Nuestra se\u00f1alizaci\u00f3n es un objeto que pocos saben que lo dise\u00f1\u00f3 Simona. Cuando empezamos no quer\u00edamos poner se\u00f1alizaci\u00f3n en la librer\u00eda porque pens\u00e1bamos&nbsp;que no combinaba muy bien al lado de todos los libros tan bonitos.
