What pieces or projects have you been working on lately?\u00a0
<\/strong>This summer I haven\u2019t been particularly active \u2014 my creative rhythm slowed down, especially in August. But I did one small, shooting with friends, where the main protagonist was\u2026 a watermelon. It all started when I saw it in a store \u2014 huge, juicy, almost a symbol of summer. And suddenly I knew: I wanted to make something with it. Something alive, a little absurd, but real.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What did you learn (or unlearn) while working on it?\u00a0
<\/strong>Once again, I was reminded that you don\u2019t need perfect equipment or the perfect moment. We shot everything on iPhones \u2014 and you know what? The strongest photos came when I stopped worrying \u2014 about film, about technique, about how things “should” be. Sometimes, real magic lies in spontaneity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What words, ideas or emotions were running through your head?\u00a0
<\/strong>Right now, there\u2019s only one thought in my head: *\u201cWhen will this finally end?\u201d* Today, my hometown Kyiv was hit by another brutal attack.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Was there any conversation, film, music or book that found its way into this work?\u00a0
<\/strong>The idea came from nothing \u2014 from that very watermelon in the store.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What was the most difficult thing you faced this month in your creative process?\u00a0
<\/strong>Lack of motivation. August often brings a slump for me \u2014 the heat, exhaustion, the feeling that nothing is moving forward. But I\u2019m learning to accept these periods as part of the process. Even silence can be fruitful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you could have dinner at any restaurant in the city tonight, where would it be and what would you order?\u00a0
<\/strong>I\u2019d meet up with friends and probably just have a beer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/strong>It\u2019s hard to come up with a title, but this month feels like one of those dull films you don\u2019t want to sit through till the end, with a soundtrack made of alarm clock beeps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
