What pieces or projects have you been working on lately?
<\/strong>El proyecto que he estado trabajando desde mediados del 2024 se llama\u00a0WHY DO I HAVE TO BEG FOR YOU TO FUCKING CARE? Se exhibi\u00f3 en la Galer\u00eda Arde Arte durante el Art Week Monterrey.\u00a0En este proyecto hablo sobre la violencia sist\u00e9mica que sufrimos las mujeres en M\u00e9xico donde desaparecen nueve mujeres al d\u00eda con impunidad del 76% al delito de feminicidio. Hablo tambi\u00e9n sobre el female rage<\/em> inspir\u00e1ndome en el mito griego de Medusa, violada por Zeus, y castigada por ello.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What did you learn (or unlearn) while working on them?
<\/strong>Hice mucho research para prepararme, busqu\u00e9 muchas cifras sobre la violencia en mi pa\u00eds, le\u00ed mucha literatura feminista y mitos griegos, enfoc\u00e1ndome en el castigo de Medusa, y por eso tantas v\u00edboras en mi proyecto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What words, ideas or emotions were going through your head?
<\/strong>El sentimiento de rencor y odio me plagaron todo el tiempo. No fue un proyecto lindo y f\u00e1cil de crear. Entre m\u00e1s le\u00eda sobre el tema, m\u00e1s me enojaba. C\u00f3mo en M\u00e9xico y el mundo las mujeres son castigadas por demandar justicia, y luego se sorprenden cuando gritamos y protestamos. Nos llaman locas por exigir reformas, nos llaman locas por marchar. Por supuesto estamos enojadas, \u00bfc\u00f3mo no estarlo? Eso es el female rage<\/em>. Estamos hasta la madre de tanta apat\u00eda e impunidad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Were there any conversations, movies, music, or books that made their way into that work?
<\/strong>Tuve muchas conversaciones con maestros, colegas, amigas, activistas, entre ellas la m\u00e1s importante fue con la curadora Paulina De La Cruz donde llegamos a la conclusi\u00f3n que mi trabajo es un tipo de protesta ante la falta de justicia. En todos mis proyectos me tengo que empapar de arte, consumir mucho, mucho arte. Me tengo que sentir inspirada para crear. Voy a shows, galer\u00edas, cine, m\u00fasica. Todo mi contexto es gasolina para creaci\u00f3n. Lo que est\u00e9 pasando de una manera u otra se ve reflejado en el proyecto o trabajo que est\u00e9 creando en el momento. Soy artista autoreal<\/em> entonces, aunque est\u00e9 hablando de M\u00e9xico, tambi\u00e9n estoy hablando sobre m\u00ed misma.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n
