When I was drawing, I was remembering the familiar forms of the coastline there, the rocks and mountain and sea I grew up beside. I made marks with the memories of that place.<\/p>\n<p class=\"pull-left\">&#8220;I made this drawing quite quickly, so the marks are fast and expressive, not over considered or second guessed. There is a rawness to the work I enjoy.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>What feelings come to you when you look at it?<\/strong><br \/>\nI feel connected to my home when I look at this work. It feels familiar to me and I feel close to it.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What were your references, influences or inspirations during your creative process?<\/strong><br \/>\nI often look to other artists for inspiration, but for this work I wasn&#8217;t drawing on anyone in particular. I was responding to my own experience of place and the landscape.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What did you enjoy the most about the process?<\/strong><br \/>\nThis was a fun drawing to make. I put on some loud, fast music and drew with energy and speed. I moved my body and enjoyed the process.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What was the hardest thing for you and how did you solve it?<\/strong><br \/>\nMaking loose drawings like this, I find it hard to know when it&#8217;s finished and it can be easy to over work it. I let the drawing rest for a little while, then I could see it with fresh eyes and realise there was nothing more I could add.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Where would you like to see it exhibited?<\/strong><br \/>\nIn a space outside of lutruwita\/Tasmania.
