Entrevista a Irving Cabrera Torres<\/strong>

What camera and other tools did you use to make this photograph?<\/strong>
\nUna Minolta SRT101 y pel\u00edcula Blanco y Negro kodak Tri X-<\/p>\n

Cu\u00e9ntanos del lugar en donde se tom\u00f3 esta fotograf\u00eda. \u00bfQu\u00e9 hac\u00edas ah\u00ed ese d\u00eda?<\/strong>
\nEsta imagen la captur\u00e9 en el pante\u00f3n de Mixquic en noviembre del 2021, fui a hacer fotos de la celebraci\u00f3n de D\u00eda de Muertos (una \u00e9poca muy inspiradora personalmente), en esa ocasi\u00f3n hab\u00eda poca gente debido a la pandemia, fue una celebraci\u00f3n muy diferente a los otros a\u00f1os.<\/p>\n

\u00bfQu\u00e9 es lo que m\u00e1s te gusta de esta fotograf\u00eda y por qu\u00e9?<\/strong>
\nMe agrada el ligero tono misterioso y melanc\u00f3lico. Era un atardecer que me hac\u00eda recordar varias cosas y personas que ya no existen en mi vida.
\nEn cuanto a la composici\u00f3n me gustan las siluetas de las personas, en una inmensidad los seres humanos somos tan diminutos y eso quise captar con las siluetas humanas.<\/p>\n

Does this photo have a title?\u00a0<\/strong>
\nSoy p\u00e9simo para poner t\u00edtulo a mis trabajos y en esta ocasi\u00f3n no es diferente, jam\u00e1s me ha venido a la mente nombre para esta fotograf\u00eda.<\/p>\n

Recordaba mucho la pel\u00edcula de Macario y algunas im\u00e1genes que hac\u00eda Gabriel Figueroa, tambi\u00e9n pasaba por mi mente Pedro P\u00e1ramo, estuve bastante tiempo esperando el atardecer para pensar en distintas cosas. Estaba muy concentrado en c\u00f3mo se iba la luz y desaparec\u00edan lentamente las diminutas siluetas de esas personas que est\u00e1n en la imagen.<\/p>\n

Cu\u00e9ntanos algo divertido, interesante o intenso que haya ocurrido mientras tomabas las foto, o en alg\u00fan otro momento del proceso.<\/strong>
\nEstuve pensando en una foto durante varios d\u00edas, cuando llegu\u00e9 al cementerio fui a ver el lugar desde donde lograr\u00eda la imagen panor\u00e1mica del cementerio al atardecer, camin\u00e9 durante varias horas por calles de Mixquic, regres\u00e9 m\u00e1s tarde a ese sitio, ya hab\u00eda personas y un par de fot\u00f3grafos m\u00e1s. El sol me pegaba dur\u00edsimo en la cara pero no quer\u00eda quitarme y perder mi lugar. La hora se acercaba y una persona de Protecci\u00f3n Civil nos retir\u00f3 a todos del lugar, todo el tiempo que esper\u00e9 fue en vano, camin\u00e9 despacio hacia la salida y de pronto vi las siluetas ah\u00ed, olvid\u00e9 el cementerio y me contempl\u00e9 unos segundos la escena tir\u00e9 una foto en color y una en blanco y negro (ambas con pel\u00edcula) el resultado me agrad\u00f3.<\/p>\n

In this photograph did you do something totally different from what you normally do for other photos?<\/strong>
\nNo, siempre hay que tener paciencia hasta que llegu\u00e9 el momento de disparar, en esta ocasi\u00f3n esperaba tener un resultado y obtuve uno que me gust\u00f3 m\u00e1s. El tiempo de espera vali\u00f3 la pena.<\/p>\n

\u00bfQu\u00e9 aprendiste algo en el proceso de crear esta fotograf\u00eda?<\/strong>
\nEn lo personal siempre que salgo a hacer fotograf\u00edas aprendo algo, ya sea de una persona del lugar o de algo que simplemente apareci\u00f3 ante ti regresas a casa con un aprendizaje, siempre hay que estar dispuestos a aprender y sobre todo vivir la experiencia a veces dejar la c\u00e1mara a un lado.<\/p>\n

If you could have collaborated with anyone for this photo, who would it have been and why?<\/strong>
\nNunca lo hab\u00eda pensado, mi trabajo siempre lo hago solo, aunque todo el tiempo interact\u00faas con las personas del lugar y ellos indirectamente colaboran contigo, ya sea para decirte que en cierto lugar es m\u00e1s peligroso ir, recomendarte algo que ayude a mejorar el trabajo o simplemente la platica que los habitantes te ofrecen para conocer sus espacios y tener empat\u00eda al momento de fotografiar.<\/p>\n

Where and in what format would you like to see this image displayed?<\/strong>
\nQuiz\u00e1 en un formato mediano 16×24 pulgadas, en cualquier sitio donde la pueda apreciar la mayor\u00eda de las personas como el metro de la Ciudad de M\u00e9xico o alg\u00fan otro metro del mundo donde se pueda exponer.<\/p>\n

Is there anything else you would like to add regarding photography?<\/strong>
\nLo que m\u00e1s hago y disfruto es la fotograf\u00eda de calle, esos viajes sin rumbo que muchas veces emprendo son muy inspiradores, en el caso particular de esta foto lo planee y ninguno de mis c\u00e1lculos result\u00f3, me quedo convencido que en la foto callejera hay que improvisar, contemplar el alrededor y tener mucha paciencia.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
