Abr\u00ed este libro sin muchas expectativas. En verdad no sab\u00eda qu\u00e9 esperar de su contenido; lo que s\u00ed sab\u00eda es que a la autora la hab\u00edan llegado a comparar con Etgar Keret, uno de mis escritores israel\u00eds favoritos (de hecho, ella tambi\u00e9n es israel\u00ed).<\/p>\n

Tan pronto me enfrent\u00e9 a la primera p\u00e1gina de esta novela supe que nunca hab\u00eda le\u00eddo nada igual y conforme m\u00e1s me sumerg\u00eda en el demente mundo concebido por Castel-Bloom, comprend\u00ed que habr\u00eda un antes y un despu\u00e9s de leer Dolly City<\/em>. La historia narra el viaje err\u00e1tico de Dolly, una doctora que tiene como fetiche diseccionar cosas vivas. En una de las primeras escenas del libro, Dolly saca a un pez de una pecera para, acto seguido, hacerlo cachitos con precisi\u00f3n quir\u00fargica. Por si lo anterior no fuera suficiente, la mujer encuentra a un ni\u00f1o con el que quiere experimentar, pero una pulsi\u00f3n extra\u00f1a no se lo permite. As\u00ed, en las p\u00e1ginas de Dolly City<\/em> vemos la lucha de una mujer por contener sus impulsos, mientras el mundo que la rodea se transforma a cada segundo, al parecer, como respuesta org\u00e1nica a la locura que la posee. <\/p>\n

Hubo quienes compararon con Kafka a esta autora, pero definitivamente las situaciones rocambolescas y surrealistas que impregnan las p\u00e1ginas de esta novela est\u00e1n a otro nivel de aquello que podr\u00edamos nombrar kafkiano.<\/p>\n
