It was three o'clock in the morning and any slightest intention to continue sleeping had dissipated; on the other side of the bed was she, immersed in a deep sleep from which I would be unable to wake her.<\/p>\n
The climate in the room was cozy, the sheets that enveloped us not so much. The little light that managed to sneak through the curtains let us glimpse the curve formed between her hips and back. In the distance I could hear the noise of the city, which combined perfectly with the darkness that flooded almost everything around me.<\/p>\n
I didn't know what to do, and I didn't plan to wake her up only to have her join me in a sleeplessness that was clearly not shared.<\/p>\n
For a few minutes I spent trying to decipher each of the sounds coming from outside; a motorcycle, people laughing, an ambulance, a cat meowing, a bicycle that needed new tires and a little oil, a child crying and tropical music in the distance, perhaps from a party. I thought maybe a couple would be swaying to the rhythm of the song as their hips moved closer and their lips met. I closed my eyes and imagined a couple of strangers kissing as they danced and smiled.<\/p>\n
I opened my eyes again and turned to look at her, she was still asleep. Her breathing was slow, I know because I could hear her. I slowly approached her to hug her, but the truth is that I had never done it before, I didn't think she needed it, she didn't look like she needed it. I slid my arm over her hip and my legs between hers, she sighed and for a moment her breathing became agitated. Then his rhythm returned to normal, why hadn't it done that before? It felt so good.<\/p>\n
The noise of the city began to become more distant and her breathing dominated the room. I could feel in my chest how the air went in and out of her body, it was as if I could breathe through her. I kissed her neck and she mumbled something I couldn't understand, I let my mind go blank and closed my eyes.<\/p>\n
I had similar nights, but none like this one.<\/p>\n
