Distant memories

Which tools did you use for the creation of this piece?
This artwork is digital, I used Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.

What were your references, influences or inspirations during your creative process?
Sometimes joyful, sometimes melancholic, my mood influences and inspires my work, as well as the music.

“For this piece and my work in general, the best thing is to observe it in silence and let its emotions speak.”

What was the creative process behind it, from the beginning until it was finished?
Sometimes we meet a person from a distance, and a memory is created because the person marks us without even knowing them, so we continue on our way. The idea was to create two distant paths that want to come together, that don’t touch each other but still develop a memory. I started by creating two non-identical paths in a black rectangle, then the layout and finally adding the textures and adjusting the finishes.

What did you enjoy the most about the process?
Everything, especially the moment of laying down the textures and the final arrangements, it’s very exciting because the visual takes on a whole new dimension.

What was the hardest thing for you and how did you solve it?
Difficult is too strong a word but maybe the change in the colors of the paper, I usually work on white paper, here I’m trying a very pale green shade that looks like older paper in reference to the project title.
