This was taken at my friend’s birthday dinner at Belmonte’s in New York City.
¿Qué es lo que más te gusta de esta fotografía y por qué?
I love that you can sense the attitude and personality of my friends in this photo without even seeing their faces.

Clink!, to signify the martini glasses clinking as we celebrated my friend’s birthday.

I just wanted to capture candid moments on film for my friend’s special day.
Cuéntanos algo divertido, interesante o intenso que haya ocurrido mientras tomabas las foto, o en algún otro momento del proceso (edición, revelado, planeación, etc.).
My friends were posing for another photo that my other friend sitting next to me was taking of them. I wanted to capture just their mouths, hands, nails and food. It almost looks like an intentionally cropped out photo of their face which I kind of like.
¿En esta fotografía hiciste algo totalmente distinto a lo que normalmente haces para otras fotos?
No, not really. I love taking candids of my friends when we’re all having a good time.

I really do love photographer Daniel Arnold (@arnold_daniel). He takes amazing candids in social events of his friends and colleagues, so collaborating with him would be super fun.
